Cornwall College is one of the largest further education colleges in the country and covers seven campuses across Cornwall; St Austell, Camborne, Newquay, Saltash, Falmouth Marine School and Duchy Colleges. There are over 3,000 different courses to choose from and well qualified and dedicated staff work hard to provide the highest quality of teaching and learning, to ensure that all students achieve their full potential.

Cornwall College St Austell, which is one of the larger sites, is a friendly and welcoming college that provides students with all the support they need to help them achieve the best they can.

Overlooking the bay, the campus provides students with fantastic state-of-the-art facilities for both study and leisure. These include a fitness suite, cafes, Cloisters Restaurant, Evolution Hair and Beauty Salons; both of which are fully working salons open to the public, £2m Skills Centre as well as a dance studio and the impressive Keay Theatre, which hosts external acts as well as providing an ideal venue for performing art students to practise and perform.

St Austell is a specialist A-level centre and students enjoy very high success rates across all subjects. In 2008 the College achieved 100 per cent pass rate in 30 subjects and an overall pass rate of 98 per cent, which was above the national average.

Students can choose to study from a wide range of full-time courses including A-levels, Diplomas, Apprenticeships, practical skills training and university level courses. A large selection of part-time Adult Qualification and Leisure courses are also available.

As a student within the Cornwall College Group, students gain membership to one of the biggest college student unions in the UK – Cornwall College Student Union (CCSU). Take advantage of extra curriculum activities and events organised by the CCSU or seize the opportunity to develop communication skills and speak up on behalf of the other students as a class rep or member of the CCSU team.
