Switch On 2009

Hundreds of people braved the downpours to make it yet another successful switch-on on Tuesday 1st of December.  Father Christmas’ sleigh did a much faster than usual drive from lidls bringing Bob McCready from Pirate FM & Carnival Queen Gemma Roper through the town to the Market House.  The shortened version of the parade was joined in Fore Street by children from Carclaze Infant School with their home made lanterns.  Bob led the countdown & the lights switched on to cheers from the crowds.  We were then entertained by girl band Eden, who despite the weather put on a magnificent show.
