Exciting things happening in Old Vicarage Place
WildWorks, the dynamic landscape theatre company, will be in St Austell from now until the end of February as part of a countywide programme which plans to bring great art into the heart of Cornish communities. WildWorks are working with communities to create a series of inspiring and surprising installations in the heart of seven market towns across Cornwall, of which …St Austell is the flagship town!
Calling themselves the “Thyme Travel Agents”, the WildWorks team will be based in The Florist Shop, Old Vicarage Place. They will be open to the public between 12:30 and 5:30pm from 14th to 21st February.
They have lots of ideas up their sleeves but firstley they are focusing on creating paper flowers attached to a “seed of knowledge” – a piece of wisdom that you might have picked up along the way through life – cliche or otherwise.
Feel free to pop in if you get the chance – if they aren’t in the shop, they’ll be somewhere nearby.
They are planning a launch event on Valentines Day in the small market square just behind the shop. Exact details are still being confirmed, but one definite is an appearance by the Cornish Connection Barbership Chorus!
